A native of Montreal, David Stollmeyer received his BA in International Relations in 1967 from McGill University and then began the first of his three successful careers.
For the first eighteen years, Mr. Stollmeyer was employed in a variety of positions in the cruise line industry, including time with March Shipping Limited, Costa Cruises, American Hawaii Cruises, American Hawaii Tours and World Explorer Cruises, serving as President and Director of the last three.
In 1985, Mr. Stollmeyer left the corporate life to pursue his entrepreneurial instincts by purchasing Alert Alarm Company, Inc., which he grew-both organically and through further acquisitions-into the second largest independent home and business alarm company in Northern California.
In 1998, he sold Alert Alarm to begin his third "career" using his time and financial resources to give back to a wide variety of worthy causes and charities. He has served actively on the boards of Bread and Roses (Past President), Casa De Angeles Foundation (Founding Board), Sonoma Ecology Center (President), Hospice of Marin Foundation, Seeds of Learning and Boys and Girls Club (Valley of the Moon).
In addition to serving on the Chesterfield Group Board of Advisors, Mr. Stollmeyer currently serves on the Board of Directors of Gary D. Nelson Associates Inc. and has belonged to numerous industry and trade associations over the years.
